CITB Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey – RSM Privacy Statement

 
Introduction
RSM UK Consulting LLP (RSM), as a data controller, is undertaking telephone consultations for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The aim of the consultations is to explore your organisation’s mental health and wellbeing initiatives and how you currently collect data. The findings will be used to inform the possible development of a mental health and wellbeing dashboard for the sector which would enable firms to benchmark their performance and effectively tackle this critical issue.

You are likely to be reading this Privacy Notice because you have been invited to take part in a survey relating to the mental health and wellbeing research commissioned by CITB or are considering taking part. This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we will collect from you in relation to the interview and what we will do with it.

Why have we contacted you and where did we get your details?
RSM have contacted you in relation to research we are completing for CITB on mental health and wellbeing initiatives. We obtained your contact details via publicly available information on the Bureau van Dijk (BvD) business database or via CITB. Please advise June Graham at the email address above if this is incorrect.

Information required for the project
We only collect personal data about you that is relevant to the purpose of the particular research we are completing for this project. We intend that personal data means in this context your name, email address and telephone number. We will protect the confidentiality of your information in accordance with our normal data handling procedures and all legal requirements. We will not use it for any purposes other than those which are set out in the interview and in this Privacy Notice.

What is the legal basis for processing personal data?
The legal basis for processing your personal information is consent.

How long your information will be kept for?
RSM only keep your information for as long as is necessary, subject to applicable law and regulation RSM will not retain any personal data beyond 28th February 2021; it will be deleted by that date and once deleted RSM will no longer hold any copies. If, at any time, you withdraw your consent to our processing your personal data, RSM will (subject to applicable law and regulation) delete your personal data at that point and no copies will be held by RSM.
Your Rights?
Your data is being collected under the legal basis of consent. You are entitled to:
  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request the correction or erasure of your personal data.
  • Object to the processing of your personal data.
  • Request a restriction of processing of your personal data.
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

How do we use your personal data?
RSM may use your personal data in the following ways:
  • For carrying out analysis and reporting on behalf of the CITB.
  • To provide you with survey / interview results if you requested them when offered.
  • As otherwise required by applicable law and regulation.
What information is shared with CITB?
Typically interview findings will be reported in an aggregated format, by that we mean that your responses will be combined with all other responses we have collected and shown as a total combined number or a percentage of the total. On rare occasions RSM might wish to share personal data that we have collected as part of the interview with the client in a format that would make it attributable to you (e.g. case studies). On those occasions where this is the case, we would only do so after we have explained to you what we want to do and obtained your permission to do so.

Information security
To protect your information RSM has required policies and procedures in place to ensure that only authorised personnel can access the information, that information is handled and stored in a secure and sensible manner and all systems that can access the information have the necessary security measures. To accomplish this, the respective employees have roles and responsibilities defined in those policies and procedures and are provided with the necessary training and resources they need.

In addition to these operational measures RSM uses a range of technologies and security systems to reinforce the policies.

To ensure that these measures are suitable vulnerability tests are run regularly by RSM. Audits to identify areas of weakness and non-compliance are routinely scheduled. Additionally, all areas of the respective organisations are constantly monitored and measured to identify problems and issues before they arise.

Where is your data processed?
All personal data concerning this project will be processed by RSM within the UK and RSM intends that no personal data will be transferred to countries outside the UK by RSM. To the extent that the processing of personal data involves the transfer of such data to a territory that does not provide an adequate level of protection, we shall implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
